I've been rained on before, but this storm was unforgettable. Our tent shook and the water came down in sheets. My brothers and I were miserable. When I woke up in the morning I had little hope of capturing the sunrise from our backcountry campsite. Then a small glimmer of light split through the grey sky. The fog cleared and the grandeur of the legendary Cirque of the Towers was revealed.
